About me
Hi there,
my name is Danielle. I’m a passionate sewer and surface pattern designer. Since I was a little girl, I have always been creating something with my hands or exploring outside. This desire to create beautiful things inspired by nature reflects today in my work as a pattern designer.
In March 2022, I took Bonnie Christines Immersion course, where I learned so much not only about surface pattern design, but also about how to show my work and get it out into the world. Since then, I have been working almost day and night on my patterns, sketching and drawing, creating color patterns, vectorizing plants and textures and turning them into hundreds of repeating designs, ready to be printed on fabric, home decor and/or wallpaper.
I was so happy the day I could hold in hands the first fabric with my self designed pattern! It was a pumpkin design, printed on linen canvas fabric. I made kitchen towels out of it, so I could admire my design every day while I was preparing something in the kitchen.
For my designs, I am inspired by nature and the things I see and find outside. I love to draw flowers and let gardens work on me to turn them into a wonderful design. I love to travel and discover new flowers, plants and landscapes along the way and incorporate my impressions into my art.
